Here is a fact about us – we need to automate every chore there is and when everything in the room is white (or, at least, it is supposed to be white) it requires a lot of constant maintenance, which is not fun. Also, the living room was a wreck – the walls were yellow from the years of smoking. There was a leak from one of the windows and the tiles were cracked.
This is what it looked like:
So, I persuaded Danny that a renovation is needed.
And so it begun. This was our first project ever. So a lot of planning was required, I was just starting to learn how to design a place.
This was the concept pano of the living room:
And the detailed plan afterwards:
We called our neighbor, as he is a contractor, and we started renovating. Danny wanted led light ceiling trim, and we called workers to construct the box in which the light strip be. Here is a panorama in the middle of the renovation process.
Danny wired the strip and this is the final result.
We changed the fireplace, but more on that (here).
Next plan for the place is a dining table, stools and whiskey corner somewhere…. and of course the kitchen redo.
